La Isla de Encanta – The Island of Enchantment
1. Mangrove Islands
Of course, the Caribbean island located 900 miles off the shore of Florida has endless beautiful beaches (most of which are secluded), but our favorite way to enjoy the scenic blue waters of the Island of Enchantment are the offshore mangrove islands. Kayak, paddle board, ferry or private boat it to one of the numerous mangrove islands for a day and treat yourself to one of the most stunning experiences of your life! Can you say, “¡Que Rico!”
2. Mountain Ranges
Another astounding characteristic of the Island of Enchantment is the wide variety of terrain, with mountains covering 60% of the island. Hiking trails, lakes, rivers, waterfalls and some delicious authentic Puerto Rican food are some of our favorite things about exploring the mountains of Puerto Rico.
3. Friendly People
No matter which part of the island you travel to, you are guaranteed to ALWAYS be greeted with a “¡Buenos Días!” Whether it’s from the barista working in the coffee shop, or the customers waiting in line for their café con leche, the people of Puerto Rico are always happy to spread a little “Good Day!” cheer to friends and strangers alike. And our favorite most said phrase, “¡Buen Provecho!” As an unspoken island courtesy, never pass a person eating without telling them “¡Buen Provecho!” or “enjoy your meal!”
Home to MAGDAKINEDESIGNS, the Island of Enchantment is also home to our loved ones, friends, neighbors and fellow US citizens. We are sending our island, and all of those affected by Hurricane Maria, much strength, safety, and patience.
